Karratha Pavonyne (formerly Sophianne Archer) is the main protagonist in "Arcanum".
She was an artist in her earlier life, being an activist then and there, but as soon as Earth was invaded by an unknown species of Alternia, she decided to join the army in order to protect her home planet. Starting out as a human cadet on Earth, she was trained for organizing teams and missions, being almost promoted to a higher position.
On one of her missions she took part of, she was hit in the head by an Alternian, causing her to faint.
When she woke up on one of the Alternian army's spaceships she found several Warp Pads, which made her think about escaping as soon as possible. She proceeded to use one of the teleporters, warping to Inertia. As soon as Sophianne landed on the new planet, she gained a new form, and she decided to start a new life with a new name as well, which became Karratha Pavonyne.
On Inertia, Karra wanted to do the same job she did before on Earth while it was invaded, so she started looking for teammates in order to take her revenge on the Alternian Army. After the galactic war was won, Karra continued her rebel life, until she met Valentine at the end of one of her missions.
Karratha
Karratha is a 4 feet 11 inch tall female Inertian humanoid, with a slightly wide frame that displays her curves and has hints of muscle underneath. She is currently wearing her violet scarf, indigo jacket decorated with yellow crystals, black elbow length gloves on each arm decorated with golden edges. Also she's wearing black jeans, with knee length boots decorated with golden edges and spurs, steel toecaps and heels as well.
Her face and body is human in shape and structure, with clear, pale grey skin. She has teal eyes, with pale purple circles under them. The messy black hair on her head is parted by a pair of pointed ears, bigger than her old human ones.
A set of pointed teal colored horns rest atop her head. Underneath Karra's gloves her hands are corrupted with a dark purple pattern, going up to her elbows.
Sophianne
Sophianne is just as tall as Karratha. This form is basically her human body, with a slightly wide frame that displays her curves as well, but doesn't have hints of muscle underneath. She is usually wearing various black clothes, such as band shirts, plain shirts, or knitted sweaters, along with black jeans and steel boots.
Her face and body is human in shape and structure, with clear, light skin. She has brown eyes, with pale purple circles under them as well. The curly dark blue hair on her head is parted by a pair of human ears.
Karra really rarely uses this form.
Overall Personality
Her personality can be questionable at times. She has her own sense of justice. For this justice she's not afraid to fight for, no matter what it takes. She always finds a glimmer of luck in the time of need, thus having a little mischief in her being.
She is cautious and cynical most of the time, even a little scornful at times. This is due to her traumatic experiences from the past, which made her think that being ready at all times is better than letting go of herself. Due to this mindset some people find her ruthless, or just a jerk in general, who is edgy.
But deep inside she would do anything for her loved ones, cares more deeply than she should, and is the one to overthink before jumping to conclusions, which would take forever most of the time, if she wouldn't remind herself about her real goals in the first place. She is aware of her flaws, and is not afraid of acknowledging them. In fact, these flaws haunt her at times, along with the past.
Chapter ł.: Interlude (Debut)
She seems pretty unsure about everything at first. She does everything in order to handle the difficulties of the war she found herself in the middle of, but she is clusmy as hell, fails horribly at multiple tasks. Luckily, she manages to adapt to the situation after a while, being one of the best cadets, who organizes her teams and missions as a commander would do. But not for long, since she gets hit in the head and faints, soon being held as a captive on an Alternian spaceship.
Chapter I.: Fugitivism
Her first thought is to just get out of her current condition, even though she somewhat panics about what is happening around her, where she is, and what are the options in order to escape from the ship. Her clumsiness gets the best of her, alerting multiple guards. Luckily, she gets to her senses at the last moment, activating one of the Warp Pads she finds there.
She uses one of the Warp Pads, escaping to an unknown planet named Inertia. When she arrives, she finds herself in her new form, thinking about giving herself a name, which will be Karra later on. She thinks if this is an entirely new chapter in her life, then it's time to change most things, like her name, most of her perspective on things, leaving everything else behind from before.
The second thing she does is to assemble a map in order to be able to explore her surroundings. She meets a fellow Sybrid there named Atsu, who escorts her to the nearby base. Later on, she slowly finds out that the government is not really any different from the one on Earth, so she decides to take a stand against it; becoming a rebel and a hitman at some sort, not really falling from her previous activist-ish life from before. Looks like some things just never change.
Chapter II.: Parachute Failure
Unlike most of her missions, one just fails horribly. This mission is most likely about the Assault on the base named Yoru, in order to get a special artifact. Karra makes a little mistake there; alerts most of the guards by activating a trap without her knowing, leaving no choice for herself but to escape. Luckily, that's what she does best for now - she successfully escapes the base, taking advantage of her knowlegde of Warp Pads, activating one.
Turns out, that Warp Pad was a Trap Pad, which teleported Karra to a random location close to Yoru, unfortunatelly that was in the air. She had no choice but to activate her parachute, which ended in a failure, since it did not open, causing Karra to land on a tree, only to find herself fainting long after.
Chapter III.: Free Fall
After this incident, a way softer side of her gets revealed.
Lucky her, a local boy named Valentine Anchor hears the cracks of the tree from the distance, and rushes to see what's going on. He finds her hanging from the tree and decides to rescue her, bringing Karra to his house in order to mend her wounds from the fall. Not long after she wakes up, only to find herself being blinded due to Snowblindness.
Fortunately she comes to her senses after a few hours, getting to know Valentine in the process. As time passes, a spark rises within the two, causing to be love interests of each other. This escalates to a romantic relationship later on.
Chapter IV.: Partners Aga(in)st Crime
Karra soon decides to invite Valentine into her group of rebels in order to stand up against the forces of the government together. Valentine accepts the invite, joining Karra and her team. The more time passes, the more they learn about how corrupt the government is, that tries to control every entity's life on Inertia.
Soonly enough, a point comes when they decide to move back from everything for a while, going on a break, letting the others do the smaller things. Due to Valentine having a pretty large apartment in Darkwell, he can also afford a Maid around the house.
The two lovebirds stumble upon the mentioned Maid named Mary, who asked them if they need help maintaining the building, Karra and Valentine do their own things. Unlike Valentine, Karra is not really fond of the third person being around; yet she still accepts the fact that Valentine said yes to Mary about staying around. Later on, she didn't care about the Maid, she let her do her things, until a certain point.
Chapter V.: Double Agent Maid
After a while, Mary often manages to slack off her little duties, being a lazy Maid at that point. She even begins to turn Valentine's head against her, by constantly flirting with him. Karra soon begins to feel outraged to the point where she wounds the Maid almost fatally, being overprotective of Valentine. This was a somewhat immature step from her, instead of figuring things out she jumped to conclusions.
