Summary
Zayden Algrave is one of the main Supporting-Protagonists in Arcanum.
He joined Alpenglow Citadel as a Recruit, hoping to build a future where he could put his technical skills to good use, and also to find a good paying job. During his Recruitment Interview, he met Karratha Pavonyne, and the two quickly became Acquainted. Over the following months, they developed a strong friendship while working together at the Citadel.
As time passed, Zayden earned Reputation for his talent and dedication. He was eventually appointed as the lead Ambassador and one of the main Arcane Tram Drivers (ATMDs) of Alpenglow's Tram Crystal Railway Network (A'TMCRN). Alongside his engineering work, he also became one of the Operators trusted to drive Trams on the Citadel's most important and prestigious Tramway lines.
Despite his growing responsibilities, Zayden continued to support Alpenglow's operations whenever he was needed. His technical expertise and bold personality made him a valuable member of the Citadel, and his partnership with Karra remained one of the most important parts of his journey.
After months of working together with Karra, he gets assigned a helper role during their journeys and private discussions, earning The "Jäger" Title.

Zayden is a 6 feet 1 inch tall Male Inertian humanoid, with a bulky frame that displays his curves and slight edges with hints of muscle underneath. He is currently wearing a dark crimson uniform-polo shirt, and black elbow length fingerless gloves on each arm decorated with red metallic edges. Also he's wearing black tapered fit uniform-pants, with knee length boots decorated with red metallic edges and spurs, steel toecaps and heels as well.
His face and body is humanoid in shape and structure, with clear, pale grey skin. He has red eyes, with pale reddle circles under them. The fluffy grey patterned hair on his head is parted by a pair of almond shaped ramlike ears, plumpier than most usual Inertan pointed ears.
A set of curvy red colored horns hug and protect atop his head. Underneath Zayden's gloves his fingertips are sturdied with reddle colored hoof-like endings on each appendage. Not exactly sharp and rather blunt, but sturdy.
His legs are mostly humanoid in structure as well, the limbs ending in solid Ancient-Inertian hooves, which are covered in his uniform boots most of the time.
Also, a fluffly, ramlike tail decorates his bottom which can convey emotions by making a waglike movement, raffling, or puffing up. When alerts it flops up, and when feeling sad it flops down. When feeling angry or focused it staightens entirely in a pointing manner.

Overall Personality
His personality is mostly consistent but bold at times. He has his own sense of justice, but his Moral Compass is pointing at the right places. For his and his loved one's justice he's not afraid to fight for, no matter what it takes. He tends to always find a glimmer of luck in the time of need, thus having a little ingenuity in his being.
He is cautious and cynical most of the time, even a little scornful and stubborn every now and then. This is due to his slightly traumatic experiences from the past, which made him think that being ready at all times is better than letting go of himself. Due to this mindset some people find him insensitive.
But deep inside he would do anything for his loved ones, cares more deeply than he should, and is the one to overthink before jumping to conclusions, but also he's suprisingly decisive. Zayden is aware of his flaws, and is not afraid of acknowledging them. In fact, these flaws haunt him at times, along with the past.
Chapter XX.: Helping Hand(Debut) /Placeholder/
Zayden's first appearance revolves around his interview at Alpenglow Citadel. The meeting starts off awkward and unusually tense. Karra reviews his Application and immediately assumes that he is a Bronze Primary Color individual, placing him under the Taurus category because of an error in the files made by Starscraper. This instantly reminds her of Randy, whose partnership with her ended on extremely bad terms. Although Randy still serves as the Train Railway Drivers (TRNRD) Ambassador, the two no longer work directly together and even attend separate meetings.
As the Interview continues, the misunderstanding is finally cleared up. Karra realizes that Zayden is actually a Crimson Primary Color individual, placing him in the Aries, or Ram Category instead. While that is not considered much better, it immediately removes the tension that had built up between them. Both of them relax, and the rest of the Interview proceeds without any major issues.
Not long after the Interview, Zayden is accepted into Alpenglow Citadel as a Recruit. Over the following months, he proves himself through his technical knowledge and determination, eventually becoming the lead engineer and developer of Alpenglow's Railway Tram Network. He also earns the responsibility of operating Trams on some of the Citadel's most important and prestigious tramway lines, marking the beginning of his career alongside Karra.
As the months pass, Zayden grows noticeably closer to Karra while working alongside her. What begins as admiration for her leadership and determination slowly develops into something more personal. Although he starts to develop feelings for her, he refuses to acknowledge them, convincing himself that he simply respects her as a colleague. Even so, his growing attachment becomes increasingly difficult to ignore.

This is because Zayden is canonically Bisexual. Although he has always been more attracted to women, most of his past relationships and encounters were with men rather than women. None of them involved his coworkers, and they were mostly one night stands. This was largely the result of his repeated disappointments in previous relationships with women, which made him reluctant to pursue romantic feelings toward them.
Over time however, Karra gradually changes his perspective. As they grow closer, Zayden slowly regains the confidence to open his heart again, eventually allowing himself to accept the feelings he had been trying to deny.
